Workplace Efficacy - What is it?
Workplace Efficacy…
in many ways is like self-confidence. Perhaps you’ve heard of self-efficacy, which is an individual's belief in his or her capacity to execute behaviors necessary to produce specific performance attainments. Yet, Workplace Efficacy goes beyond the individual. It is the collective sense of confidence members of an organization feels. It underlies members’ attitudes and the performance of their work. It establishes an encouraging and supportive workplace culture as well as alignment among members. In a nutshell, it’s a sense of 'having each other’s backs’ and a desire to perform at a high level because of feeling accepted as person with diverse gifts and identities.
When Workplace Efficacy is present, diversity, inclusion, and equity are achievable and sustainable.
To construct Workplace Efficacy, our coaching and training focus on two key pillars of learning: Intercultural Competence and Emotional Intelligence development. Emotional Intelligence development nurtures Psychological Safety, which is the leading contributor to engaged organizations. Intercultural Competence development liberates Diverse Talents in the workplace, which is a leading contributor to inclusive organizations.
