What does intercultural mean?

Being intercultural is a key to living a meaningful life in the current and future world.

Being intercultural is about knowing how human diversity affects one’s identity development, work competence, and life itself. Diversity is all around us. It encompasses both local and global diversity.

Why does the Helix model work?

From Awareness to Competence. From Competence to Leadership.

Being in the midst of diversity can feel challenging. But Interculturalist believes that diversity is invigorating and leverageable. It should be a source of strength, enrichment, and innovation, when supported by intercultural leadership.

Interculturalist believes simple awareness of diversity is insufficient and wasteful.

Awareness isn’t enough. Competence benefits you and only you.  When you are an intercultural leader, your leadership benefits you, those around you, your organization, and society.

Our endeavor is to partner with you, so that you gain the capacity to utilize diversity of difference (instead of view it as an obstacle to overcome).

By developing intercultural leadership, you can urge and empower others to become intercultural.  Interculturalist believes, that through a partnership with you, we can help you lead your life, the people around you, and your organization in the most effective and powerful ways in this multicultural world.
